Zara's Wedding

Zara Phillips, the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, wed her long-time boyfriend, Mike Tindall, a British Rugby player, on a beautiful Saturday mid-morning at Cannongate Kirk, Edinburgh City, Scotland. The event was attended by the closest royal family members. Zara is a champion equestrianne and one of the British hopefuls to take part in the 2012 World Olympics which will be held in London. The wedding reception was held at the Queen's official Scottish residence, Holyrood Palace.

Early last month, Zara was reportedly disappointed that Buckingham Palace disapproved her plan to sell the exclusive rights of her wedding coverage to Hello! magazine just like what her older brother, Peter Phillips, did in 2008 when he wed Autumn Kelly. According to report, palace officials sternly refused to have a repeat show because it cheapened the monarchy. The Queen simply would not want any of her family members to undergo a movie star-like show. Zara is extra close to the Queen and did not dream to frustrate her dear old grandma, so she relented.
