Tired and busy tailing the lives of European royals and unsure who to stalk, I let important events of the royalty circuit passed the previous weeks and just updated my other blogs. Now, I felt the need to post one entry here due to the two successive royal wedding events that took place lately.
I missed the moment when I excitedly wait for the day to come for royals to get hitch in the altar. Now, it seems my fascination towards royalty is slowly slipping, but no, it should not be, I will still continue watching and following their amusing lives :-)
Monaco
So what's up for the Monegasque royals? Aside from endlessly waiting for the good news when Princess Charlene will get pregnant, nephews and nieces of Prince Albert seemed busy making headlines for themselves. Charlotte Casiraghi is heavily pregnant but no update when she will head to the altar. Her brother Pierre is still very much involved with Italian aristocrat, Beatrice Borromeo, and the other brother, Andrea, well, finally took the plunge.

The eldest son of HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover, the Hereditary Princess of Monaco, Andrea Casiraghi, tied the knot last August 31, 2013, with his long time girlfriend,Tatiana Sto. Domingo, at the Prince's Palace in Monaco, the couple has already a five-month son, Sacha.
The wedding, which followed an informal Bohemian theme, was not an extravagant royal affair but just a simple and exclusive family event with the bride just wearing a full-length Missoni white gown in a three-quarter sleeves. She also wore just a pair of flat silver sandals instead of heels and she adorned her head with a white flower garland.
The ceremony had 400 guests including the Monaco royals headed by the groom's uncle, Prince Albert. The reception was held at the pool side of the Prince's Palace with luxury beer and Al Fresco lunch. The couple however, staged an extravagant evening reception at Hotel de Paris, with guests ranging from fashion designers, businessmen and royalty.

The bride wore an elegant Elie Saab wedding gown in full detailed Chantilly lace design with intricate floral motifs and silver threads. The Lebanese designer, who also designed the wedding gown of Claire's sister-in-law Princess Stephanie, made the ivory silk gown more stunning by featuring a three-metre flowing train with a neo baroque flower details that cascaded all the way to the train.
Striking similarities
Claire Lademacher and Princess Stephanie wore an almost duplicate design
on their wedding day. Both made by Lebanese designer, Elie Saab, the gowns were made from ivory silk and heavily embroidered with Chantilly lace and silver threads. The former Countess Stephanie de Lannoy, a Belgian born noblewoman, married Prince Gauillaume of Luxembourg last year October 2012. Claire married Gauillaume's younger brother
Prince Felix last September 21, 2013.
Claire wore a tiara believed to be one of the Grand Ducal family heirlooms. She chose to carry a simple bouquet floral arrangement composed of white blooms. I was quite surprise when I saw Claire's wedding dress because it was very similar to the dress wore by Princess Stephanie, the former Countess Stephanie de Lannoy, on her wedding to Prince Felix's older brother, Prince Gauillaume, last year.
